This is one of the most distinctive raw honeys Maine has to offer. Light and floral with a gentle fruity sweetness, it has a depth that stops you mid taste.
This rare honey is produced in the remote Allagash region of northern Maine during a short window when wild raspberries are in bloom. For a brief moment each season, bees forage almost entirely on raspberry nectar, creating a honey that is both delicate and complex. Not every year is favorable, which makes each harvest especially meaningful.
Harvesting honey in this part of Maine comes with its own challenges. Remote conditions and the presence of black bears, who are just as drawn to honey as we are, make production a true commitment. It is a risk, but one we believe is well worth it.
Like all of our honeys, this is raw and unfiltered, taken straight from the honeycomb and gently strained. It is never pasteurized, so all of the naturally occurring enzymes, pollen, and beneficial compounds remain intact.
Crystallization is natural with raw honey. If it happens, gently warm the jar until it returns to liquid form. This is not a flaw. It is a sign of true raw honey.
